"Tangmere" 34067 on The Atlantic Coast Express through Hook.

On the glorious spring morning of 7th April 2013 the RYTC ran The Atlantic Coast Express from London Waterloo to Exeter via the Salisbury direct route and return with SR Light Pacific Class 34067 "Tangmere" in charge. Aided by a class 57 on the rear which would haul the train on the return journey as far as Laverstock Jct near Salisbury where the train would become reverse formation and "Tangmere" could take charge once again. Here we see "Tangmere" shimmering in the distance from Hook station having left Winchfield after her first water stop and as a 159 DMU en route also for Exeter dashes by the train starts to emerge billowing out a delightful cloud of steam. For those not willing to wait the several minutes before "Tangmere" approaches just skip the first 3 minutes or so but i think capturing the whole scene unedited looks best.
