Favorite Storybook Character Election 2016 @ KPL

In October, Kalamazoo Public Library visitors were invited to come out and vote for their favorite storybook character, and create short videos to support their candidate. Ballots were cast between November 1st & 5th. The winner were announced on Tuesday, November 8. The nominees were: Alma Powell Branch: Doc McStuffins Central Library: Elephant and Piggie Eastwood Branch: Pete the Cat Oshtemo Branch: Waldo Washington Square Branch: Dora the Explorer It was a tight race, but Elephant & Piggie pulled in the most votes to win the Favorite Storybook Character Election! Here are the results: -Elephant & Piggie: 97 votes -Pete the Cat: 85 votes -Doc McStuffins: 64 votes -Waldo: 48 votes -Dora the Explorer: 32 votes
