TOUR OF AUSTRALIA ZOO: Steve Irwins Legacy, Croc Show and Koala Holding

Explore with us as we encounter a wide array of animals and witness firsthand how the zoo beautifully showcases Steve Irwin's legacy. Join us for a wildlife journey like no other! We started our day off at the Zoo as early as possible, as we wanted the FULL experience! The ticket prices are pretty expensive, but this was close to the top of our ‘must do’ things for Australia, so we bit the bullet and booked a Day Pass and a Koala holding experience. We talk about the price breakdown and whether it’s worth it in the video! Unfortunately, we had very bad weather and it rained for the majority of the day and we are sure that this changed our experience for the day, but did not deter us from the fact that we had the best time and enjoyed everything they had to offer! There are shows run throughout the day and the timetable can be seen on the leaflet they give you upon arrival. If you have an experience booked, it may interfere with this show, so if this occurs and you desperately want to see a certain show, you can also book a 2 day pass! The price difference is not that big - we wish we had bought a 2 day pass. We started off on the other side of the zoo as we wanted to escape the crowds for as long as possible, but when we arrived at the Tiger enclosure, the heavens opened! Due to this, our Koala holding experience was pushed forward and held in the building next to the Crocoseum. We share our honest thoughts on this experience and whether it’s worth it for the money you pay. We watched the Wildlife Warriors Show in the Crocoseum and had lunch at the Crickey! We’ve both grown up watching Crocodile Hunter and watching Steve and Robert on TV and on social media, and we are in awe of the whole Irwin family. The work that Steve did and his legacy does live on through this zoo and the family. We found the visit quite emotional as there is A LOT of pictures, videos and memories of Steve within the park and everything is dedicated to the work he started.
