Michael Gove says more than 3,000 UK visas issued to fleeing Ukrainians

Michael Gove, the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Secretary, said more than 3,000 UK visas have been issued to fleeing Ukrainians. Asked for an update on the number of refugees from Ukraine that the UK has accepted, he told Sky's Sophy Ridge On Sunday that "more than 3,000 visas" have been issued. Mr Gove also spoke about the Government's Homes for Ukraine scheme, which will initially allow people to sponsor named individuals or families to stay in their homes.
