When the first major cold front blows in, it’s time to do some Texas Fly Fishing for some Rainbow and Brown Trout on the Guadalupe River. In this adventure I am fly fishing the Guadalupe for some holdover Texas brown trip. Even though it was only a quick trip I ended up catching a PB brown trout! The small rainbow trout are the state stocked rainbow trout while the bigger ones are the trout stocked by the Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited. If you enjoy fishing for Texas Rainbow Trout, please consider donating to Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited (GRTU), practicing catch and release, removing the barb off your hooks, and using single hooks to preserve this amazing and unique fishery. Go buy your rainbow trout from H-E-B (I am not sponsored by H-E-B but I would love to be) and let these fish stay in the Guadalupe River so hopefully one day we can see a new state record caught and released. Drop a like and subscribe if you enjoyed the video! The Guadalupe River is rated in the top 100 trout streams in the America and is the southernmost trout fishery in the US. The rainbow and brown trout are stocked in the river by the Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited (GRTU) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD). These rainbow and brown trout provide some amazing fishing and sure put up a fight.
