Man arrested for trying to cross NSW-Vic border
A man has been arrested after attempting to cross the New South Wales and Victoria border without a permit. He was arrested shortly after 11am on Wednesday in Corowa when a car with Victorian number plates attempted to enter New South Wales. Officers from the Murray River police district spoke with the driver who allegedly declared his intention to cross the border despite not having a valid exemption. He was then arrested and taken to Albury Police Station and is assisting police with enquiries.
