Maharashtra Latest News: Shiv Sena leader Milind Narvekar met Eknath Shinde and other rebel party MLAs camped in Gujarat’s Surat on Tuesday. During the meeting that lasted for nearly two hours, Milind Narvekar made Eknath Shinde speak to Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray over the phone, as per sources. At least three ministers of the Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government are among the 30 MLAs camping with Shiv Sena minister Eknath Shinde in Gujarat’s Le Meridien hotel. Shinde was, meanwhile, removed from the post of party group leader. MLA Ajay Chaudhary will replace Shinde. At least 30 MLAs of the Shiv Sena under the leadership of Shinde, Minister for Urban Development in the MVA government in Maharashtra, were taken to the Le Meridien hotel in Surat on Tuesday, indicating a rebellion that could break up the Sena and possibly trigger the fall of the Uddhav Thackeray government in the state.
