Berlin April 1989

Writing this before the end of the current UK government. Found my photos of a visit to what was then West Germany and to East Germany. Before the fall I had no way of knowing the wall and the division would end later that year. If you think things are quiet where you are, you should have seen East Germany back then. I dare not take photos on the other side but I risked a couple as I crossed Checkpoint Charlie. I recall buying a drink in a kiosk, I recall the desolation, the stark contrast of East and West. Total control on one side, total control on the other. One system was failing at the fundamentals, one system was failing at the fundamentals. Presidents and Kings represent the wealthiest in society. Maybe you can explain. The one system that has never been tried is government for all. Yes, yes, I know the words in the Rich media deny this but really the majority of us are never promoted, encouraged or even welcome. Yet we have the talent. Denying talent and you get what you deserve: Liz Forgotten. The government has just resigned. The Media still not pushing for General Election. A Labour government behaving like this mob would have been hung, drawn and ridiculed by the Rich media. No option but to go to the Nation. WHAT DID THE KING SAY?
