Horizon Forbidden West Latopolis Exploration Death's Door Main Quest Actual Plot Happening

The concept of Alien invaders that are actually future humans coming to re-conquer their old land is from the very early days of Sci Fi as far as I know; probably a Phillip K. Dick, Heinlein, or Asimov plot originally. That said it isn't particularly common and has some really interesting ways it could go, glad to see the plot is picking up a bit (10-20 hours in). In other news really cool looking boss fight that you spend the entire time not looking at.
