NFL officials in the San Diego/Raiders games (except the one side judge who called it correctly but was overruled), don't know their own rules nor do they know how to enforce them. The touchdown call was incorrectly overturned on the field despite WR Rod Streater catching the ball getting both feet down, then got a third foot down and twisted in an attempt to move away from the defender, thus committing a "football move/act." Streater is contacted be the defender while still upright, then as he goes to the ground, the ball has already broken the plane of the goal line. Right there, the play is over and SHOULD be a touchdown per NFL rules. Article 3 Completed or Intercepted Pass Item 3 End Zone Catches: "If a player controls the ball while in the end zone, both feet, or any part of his body other than his hands, must be completely on the ground before losing control, or the pass is incomplete." But here is the kicker: "Article 3 Item 3 Note: In the field of play, if a catch of a forward pass has been completed, after which contact by a defender causes the ball to become loose before the runner is down by contact, it is a fumble, and the ball remains alive. In the end zone, the same action is a touchdown, since the receiver completed the catch beyond the goal line prior to the loss of possession, and the ball is dead when the catch is completed." Per the NFL's "note" to rule Article 3 Item 3, it should be a touchdown because the receiver who filled all the criteria of a catch OUTSIDE the goal line, is now considered a runner OUTSIDE of the goal line and thus, once the ball breaks the plane of the goal line, he should be awarded the touchdown.
