1968 Jets Bengals AFL Home Movie - Joe Namath!

I'm proud to present this beautiful transfer of a rare 8mm film from my personal home movie collection. This AFL football game took place at Shea Stadium in New York on December 8, 1968 (14th week of the season - 13th game for the Jets). The Jets hosted the Cincinnati Bengals (in their inaugural season), with the Jets prevailing 27-14. The films shows many plays from throughout the game. Great proof of Joe Namath's quick release in this footage. The Jets would finish the season 11-3 and surprise the nation by defeating the heavily favored NFL Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl 3 a few weeks later.
