Visit my website at http://terosclassicgaming.blogspot.com for more of my videos. Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures is a very unique game. For one thing, apart from the characters, it bares no resemblance whatsoever to any other Pac-Man game. From a gameplay standpoint, it's probably most akin to a point-and-click adventure game, but it doesn't quite follow the conventions of that genre, either. It's pretty much a total standalone. The game describes itself as a "living cartoon", and that's quite accurate. Unlike in most games, you do not control Pac-Man directly, you use your slingshot to interact with various objects around him. Furthering the complexity of these interactions is the fact that how Pac-Man reacts to any given situation is based on his current mood, and many events alter how he's feeling. There's an absolutely insane number of possible interactions in the game, with secrets (and funny ways to die) hidden around every corner. I've beaten this game at least 5 separate times and I still haven't come close to seeing everything. With that in mind, this won't be an especially "impressive" playthough or anything like that, because this isn't really a game that takes a ton of skill. I'm just going to try to show off some of the various funny interactions in the game. My capture card acts up for about the first minute of the video, but it settles in after that. "Pac-Man! I'm tired of your meddling! You'll get munched this time!"
