Racial disparities present in access to breast cancer genetic testing
While white women are slightly more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer, Black women are 40% more likely to die from the illness -- in part, due to several racial disparities in diagnosing and treatments. One of those disparities is access to genetic testing.
