Biden says Kabul evacuations accelerating amid ‘acute’ threats

US President Joe Biden says he remains committed to getting all American citizens and Afghans whose lives were at risk out of Afghanistan but warned that the ISIL-affiliated Islamic State in the Khorasan Province could stage an attack. Biden has come under enormous criticism for what some say is a botched departure from Afghanistan. Since August 14, the US has airlifted 28,000 people out.
