Northeast Ohio weather forecast: Deep arctic air grips the region tonight

Your 11 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Jan. 21, 2022: More arctic air is marching into the region for tonight. Our temperatures will remain sub-zero in terms of feels like conditions with surface temperatures likely in the single-digits for most under a decent north wind. We've been discussing this strong area of high pressure. It is still expected to move eastward allowing for surface winds to change orientation by Saturday with sunshine warming us into the mid to upper 20s. Still below freezing, yes, but it is a "warm up." Now, we must warn you, this will be temporary as a low will bring a cold front south across the Buckeye state Saturday night with some brief fetching of lake effect snows Sunday.
