Sirens sounded in northern Israel near the Lebanon border on September 24 morning during a Hezbollah rocket attack. Israeli police received reports of falling shrapnel from rockets intercepted in the cities of Kiryat Shmona and Afula. No injuries were reported. Israel retaliated by striking Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, while the Iran-backed group attacked military facilities in northern Israel. This escalation raised concerns of a full-blown conflict, especially after Lebanon experienced its deadliest day in decades.
