A possible tropical system approaching the Gulf of Mexico – and possibly headed toward Florida – is likely to strengthen and develop into a tropical depression over the next day or two, according to the National Hurricane Center. Known as Invest 93L, the area of low pressure was located near Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula on Saturday morning. The NHC said showers and thunderstorms were continuing to show signs of organization and confidence that the system would develop has continued to increase. It may impact Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, western Cuba, and Florida. Idalia and Jose are the next two storm names on the 2023 Atlantic cyclone names list. #fox35orlando #tropical #tropics Subscribe to FOX 35 Orlando: https://bit.ly/3uRa5Vt Watch FOX 35 Orlando LIVE newscasts: https://www.FOX35Orlando.com/live Download FOX 35 news & weather apps: https://www.fox35orlando.com/apps FOX 35 Orlando delivers breaking news, live events and press conferences, investigations, politics, entertainment, business news and local news stories and updates from Orlando, Orlando metro, and across Florida.
