This is our fourth trip to the mountain and it started in 2017 with OPTIMA Batteries and a modest normally aspirated E92 M3. Then we stepped it up with a BMW Motorsport M4 GT4 in 2019 to carry our OPTIMA Battery to the summit a little quicker than before. Then in 2021 the mighty Bergsteiger E36 M3 Hill Climb Monster made its Pikes Peak debut and with over FOUR times the power of the car we started with it certainly takes its OPTIMA Battery AND its driver, James Clay, up into the clouds in a hurry.
