Beginners: STOP soloing like this, and you'll be a better guitar player.

Hey all. I'm often on the reddit guitar forum (and of course here on YouTube) and I watch a lot of beginner / early intermediate players posting covers of their favorite solos and whatnot, and I see this issue time and time again. I almost always leave a comment to try and help these guys and gals out with their approach, because though it seems to be very common (and maybe intuitively correct to the beginner) it's incorrect and makes soloing so much more difficult than it already is to learn.
