I met Tom from Joola a couple years ago at a party for Spin Ping Pong http://newyork.spingalactic.com/ Night club where we got talking about Table Tennis and had a great time. We kept in touch, and when he was in Los Angeles last week, we were able to connect and practice some drills, including the Falkenberg Drill (info below). I found it to be an amazing workout with my heart rate getting up to the 170's bpm and the drill is great for agility, speed, quickness, reflexes, bloodflow, and movement. Ping pong is such a great workout for everyone! The constant calculations of spin, angles, strategy, along with the bloodflow make it the number one exercise for your brain as well! So check this video out and if you are looking to train your ping pong skills, go to http://www.joolausa.com/Professional/... and get an ipong pro! About the Falkenberg Drill - The Falkenberg Drill is a drill that helps to improve your switch from backhand-to-forehand, and forehand-to-deep-forehand. The Player will be the person being trained, and the Partner will be the one feeding balls to the Player. The Player starts at his/her backhand corner, and the Partner stands diagonal to him (if the Player is right-handed, then he will be standing on the left side of the table). The Partner feeds a ball to the Player's backhand and the Player hits it diagonally with the Backhand. The Partner blocks it back diagonally to the same spot, and the Player steps around and hits it diagonally with the Forehand. The Partner blocks it down the line and the Player reaches and hits it with theForehand. The Partner blocks it back diagonally to the original spot and the Player moves back to play it with the Backhand. Repeat It was made popular at the Falkenberg club in Sweden by 1971 World Men's Singles Champion Stellan Bengsston. It's almost for certain the most popular footwork drill in the world among top players because it covers the three most common footwork moves in table tennis - cover the wide forehand, cover the wide backhand, and step around forehand from the backhand corner.
