William Bordsen, the suspect in a July homicide in east Charlotte, has had his bond revoked, court records show. The victim, 65-year-old Robert "Bob" Murphy, was found dead in his east Charlotte apartment after what police describe as a brutal beating around 4 a.m. on July 28 following a fight over cigarettes. His roommate, 40-year-old Bordsen, faces first-degree murder charges in connection with Murphy's death. Bordsen was originally given a $400,000 secured bond, and required to provide a DNA sample and fingerprints. Court records show he posted bond on July 30 and was released from Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office custody on July 31, before being indicted for murder on Aug. 4. At an Oct. 10 hearing, Bordsen's bond was revoked. His next court date has been set for Oct. 16. READ MORE: https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/cri...
