The WB Affiliation would remain on WGN-TV in Chicago until September 17,2006 when WGN-TV would take the charter CW Affiliation on September 18,2006. WGN-TV Reverted Back to an Independent Station on September 1,2016 after 21 years with Network Affiliation which lasted until August 31,2024.WGN-TV has The CW Affiliation as of September 1,2024 under the ownership of Nexstar Media Group.
