The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/t... Collapse of government in Afghanistan, on the 15th of August 2021, led to an unbearable chaos and suffering. Despite the complexities of the government's collapse, there is a simple but very fundamental reason behind that failure. In this talk, I discuss what that reason was and its implications in our lives as individuals as well as leaders. Before joining Duke Law School as a Research Associate, Sebghatullah Jalali was working with the US Institute of Peace in Kabul, Afghanistan. He was training professors as well as undergrad students in peacebuilding and conflict resolution-a role that he took pride in. When the Afghan government collapsed, he was forced to flee the country to protect his life. In this talk, he reflects upon the journey he went through and how that journey changed his life. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
