Mission objective: Destroy eggs and, as always, smash the guts out of every damn dirty bug I can. This mission was recorded on the RTX 5090 paired with the Intel i7-14700K, captured with ShadowPlay, so there’s a bit of FPS loss — but Smooth Motion is enabled to keep it cinematic in native 4K. As always, full in-game settings are shown at the start of the video. I’m running the ARC-12 Blitzer as my primary, wearing the heavy set I-44 Salamander for that glorious 75% resistance to fire, which is a must when the whole planet’s a flaming bug nest. We’re deep in the Gloom, and of course, Hive Lords, Dragonroaches, and the Rupture Strain are all here — because Oshaune just can’t help itself. On the upside, the EXO-49 Emancipator exosuit is temporarily available to all Helldivers, so… yay, maybe. Command said to use 380mm HE barrages to take down the Hive Lord. Spoiler: that was the plan. I brought my Patriot Exosuit, Jump Pack, and Grenade Launcher, ready to make a mess. The Dragonroaches were as annoying as ever, but we kept smashing eggs, torching nests, and hammering away at the Hive Lord whenever we had the chance. We were determined to end that oversized glowworm this time. When the mission was complete and the clock still ticking, we threw everything we had left at it — stratagems, exosuits, and pure rage. The sky lit up like a holiday display, and after one final barrage, the Hive Lord toppled over and died. Worth every clone, every scream, every reload. Extraction got weird — I burned through a couple of clones and the last one dropped me straight into the pelican. The rest of the team had to sprint for their lives to make it aboard, and unfortunately, one Helldiver didn’t. But the mission was a success, the Hive Lord was dead, and the chaos was glorious. For Super Earth — where victory’s messy, loud, and full of bug guts. Enforcer, taking care of business (and still hating Oshaune).
