Clean pictures of resignation of PM of self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic

(7 Aug 2014) The self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic, on Thursday announced his resignation from the position. Speaking at a news conference in the eastern Ukrainian city, Alexander Borodai said the region should be ruled by a person who is originally from the area. He named Alexander Zakharchenko, who is the commander of a local militant group called "Oplot" (stronghold), as his successor. Zakharchenko said his policy would be the same as that of the previous leader - the independence and well being of Donetsk People's Republic's citizens. He also said they were planning some attack operations. "I, personally, don't see any problems with us fighting. Yes, the situation is difficult, yes, the enemy is strong, but our fighting spirit is untouched. I completely do not understand why they are fighting us, why they are here, and so on," he told journalists. Borodai will remain in the leadership of Donetsk People's Republic as the first Deputy Prime Minister.
