The Witch's Lair - Banjo-Kazooie: The Lair Witch Project

"I really don't think we're on the Isle O' Hags any more, Banjo..." 🐦 This song went on a LONG journey... originally this started as an early demo for Spiral, which had no main melodies, just atmosphere. Then it slowly but surely morphed into a big Grunty's Lair-themed song, but that didn't quite fit either. Kurko then took my WIP midi, stripped out the melodies and left the background instruments, slowed it down, and extended it out with some fun ideas like Theramin sections, a cool loop, etc. etc. I did my own pass over his midi, made my own additions and changes, and we ended up with a pretty awesome piece IMO.
