FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. (WKRC) - An Indiana driver was killed Friday morning after driving off of the road and hitting a tree. According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Department, the accident occurred at Oxford Pike near Hetrick Road, around 5:30 a.m. The driver failed to negotiate a curve, causing the person to drive off the road and strike a tree. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Due to severe burns, the driver could not be immediately identified. The driver's remains were taken to the Hamilton County Coroner's Office for autopsy and further investigation. The accident is currently under investigation.
