Muddat Hui Hai Yaar Ko Mehman Kiye Hue- Mehdi Hasan and Tarannun Naaz
A few days back I posted this ghazal sung by Mohammad Rafi in the traditional mode. This is the same ghazal by the great Mehdi Hasansung with Tarannum Naaz in a completely different style. The music in the interlude is in the form traditional dance music. A fine ghazal of Mirza Ghalib. It has been rendered by many stalwarts but this is a very unique interpretation. Music composer is Mujahid Hussain. I do not know much about his output but going with what he has achieved with this ghazal I am sure his other pieces would also be unforgettable.
