266 - The Busiest and Most Interesting Lock Flight on The Network | Narrowboat Cruise to Hillmorton
Today we cruise 4 miles to Hilmorton on a stunning autumn mooring, with no locks, it only takes us just under two hours to get to Hilmorton. With it being such a lovely day we decide to head through the infamous Hilmorton lock flight, a flight of 3 twin single locks, a very rare site to be seen on the canal network, the reason they needed twin locks was because, this was one of the busiest flights on the network with 20k boats a year passing through, and today it still is the busiest with 9k through.
