Bally Sagoo-A Musical Story of a Maven

Bally Sagoo is regarded as one of the pioneers of the British Asian Music scene. He got his break in 1989,when he remixed Malkit Singh's hit track Hey Jamalo. His signature style, fusing elements of western beats with traditional flavours from the Indian subcontinent, attracted a truly global audience. Bally became the first Indian artist to be played on national mainstream radio when he released his re-working of Asha Bhosle's song Chura Liya, followed by appearances on Top of the Pops in 1996, with Dil Cheez and Tum Bin Jiya.
