North Pole Hot Chocolate | Christmas Cocktail Challenge
It is time once again for our annual Christmas Cocktail Challenge and this year marks our third year doing it. I am teaming up with my friends Danielle and James over at @unstabletv and the rules are simple. Each of us picks one ingredient and we all have to create our own Christmas cocktail using that ingredient. This year my challenge ingredient is chocolate and chocolate sauce and I decided to turn it into a cozy North Pole Hot Chocolate. This spiked white chocolate hot chocolate is rich creamy and perfect for the holiday season. Made with white chocolate sauce vanilla vodka and chocolate liqueur this Christmas hot chocolate is easy to make and full of festive flavor. It is the perfect holiday drink to enjoy by the tree or serve at a Christmas gathering. NORTH POLE HOT CHOCOLATE Spiked White Chocolate Hot Cocoa INGREDIENTS 1 cup milk or half milk half cream 1 oz vanilla vodka 1 oz chocolate liqueur 1 tbsp white chocolate sauce Whipped cream for topping Optional garnish chocolate shavings mini marshmallows crushed candy cane INSTRUCTIONS Heat the milk in a saucepan or microwave until hot but not boiling. Stir in the white chocolate sauce until fully melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla vodka and chocolate liqueur. Pour into a mug. Top with whipped cream and your favorite festive garnish. NOTES Always add alcohol after heating so it does not cook off. For extra richness use half and half or add a splash of heavy cream. This can easily be doubled for guests.
