I picked up this little balsa wood plane, the Lyonaeec Spirit of St. Louis Rubber Band Plane, at a hobby store a few weeks back. Childhood memories recalled fun times spent with these kind of rudimentary flyers. Sometimes, however, long-ago memories don't always measure up with the cruel truths of reality.
