FFIV The After Years - Final Tale: Planet Eater - FFV's Epically Epic Favorite Gilgamesh

There is no FFIV floor (which is funny since there ARE a few bosses from the game not used in this one so far. The bosses you had to fight during the Lunar Subterran to get the party's Ultimate Weapons). However, the first part of the final dungeon here can be the FFIV floor. let's jump to FFV, a classic that needs more love and attention. FFV's section covers two floors only: B13 and B14. However, there are some interesting twists in this section. the monsters are the same ones found on B12. All encounters will be against one enemy each time, but they are really strong. The worst one is the Chimerageist which hits three times in a row for 1000 damage EACH. B13 is a standard area with no bosses. B14 is a large rooms. The bosses are not technically in one room this time. While they are all in B14, the room is split into different screens so you have to travel a distance. In fact, you only have to face two bosses to continue on in the dungeon. What does that mean for the other two? They are optional super bosses. And since this IS FFV, take a wild guess which super bosses are used in this game. Omega is found on the first section of B14 near the bottom walking around on the map, just like in FFV. You only fight him if you talk to him. In the next section of B14, there are covered passageways and a path that leads to a small room. In this room is a crystal on save point (save point only accessible once you beat the boss and an elevator. The path to more of B14 won't open until you beat the boss. Unlike the past floors which had a mix of end game characters and weaker characters, this party is full potential end game characters that have power. Here, its Cecil, Rosa, Yang, Edge and Palom. No new characters are in this party but it offers a nice balance in jobs and skills. Yang has a new ability called Cover Counter. it works just like Cecil's Cover, but instead Yang takes the hit and then physically counters. Awesome. Palom is the truest Black mage in the game. Rosa is the Ranger White Mage and Edge has all the spells of the 4 ninjas plus Mug and Throw. Cecil can do a band with yang, with Edge and with Rosa. the crystal here is one of the most popular characters in the series and one of the best as well. Here he is, the one, the only, Gilgamesh. Sadly, Battle on the Big Bridge will NOT play during the fight. GIlgamesh was one of Exdeath's generals in FFV and a recurring boss fight. He has gained so much popularity that he has appeared in various games. Gilgamesh attacks with physical moves and Quake. He;s not super dangerous, but use Protect and Shell and Slow him. At one point, he will cast Haste, Protect and Shell on himself and change his attack pattern, He will first Jump on one character, physically attack four times in a row against one character each time, use Penetrating laser on one character, and then use Zantetsuken on one character. When he is defeated, he will say 'Bartz.' he is the only past FF boss in this game to make any clear reference to the game he was in. winning the fight scores you the Excalipar, a sword with 100% accuracy but 1 attack strength. However, it does nice damage when thrown. You will also open the save point, where a story scene between Kain and Ceodore will occur where they learn the powerful Double Jump band. Just thought I would explain my set-up: I want to use all the characters playable. There are 22 characters and 5 slots. Since Cecil hasn't had much screentime, he'll be the leader for the entire run. That leaves 20 character slots opened. I decided to give Golbez a breather since I used him since his own tale.
