WATCH: US, China Delegations Leave After First Day of Paris Trade Meeting | APT

The meetings took place at the headquarters of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The talks were led by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng as both sides seek to smooth tensions in their trade relationship. Officials are expected to discuss issues including tariffs, the supply of Chinese rare earth minerals to American buyers, export controls on high-tech goods and Chinese purchases of U.S. agricultural products. The talks also come ahead of a planned meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping later this month in Beijing.
