HISTORY [0:08] BEGINNING [5:03] the tenth [7:19] 2nd [11:23] 3rd [15:26] 4th [19:29] 5th [23:32] 6th [27:35] END [31:38] MEDIAGRAPHY [31:44] THE 7 LESSONS OF THE ANGEL IN SAINTE-BRIGITTE OF SWEDEN, SERMO ANGELICUS 1. On Sunday, one contemplates the Love that from all eternity, the Holy Trinity experienced for the Virgin Mary, loved by God more than any other creature. 2. On Monday, one meditates on the necessity of the free will left to the pure minds and the men, on the knowledge that the angels had of the Virgin, superior to all by the degree of its submission to the Lord. 3. On Tuesday, one thinks of the joy of Adam when he knew, by prescience, the birth of Mary and that of the Redeemer. We associate ourselves with the feelings of the prophets and patriarchs in their expectation of the Virgin. 4. On Wednesday, our thoughts turn to the union of Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, to the humility of Mary whose depth goes beyond human intelligence and to her beauty, which rejoices heaven and earth. 5. On Thursday we reflect on the use that the Virgin made of her will, all directed to God for the good of men; She alone had no inclination to sin. 6. On Friday, one remembers the prophecies of passion. Mary understood them better than the prophets themselves. Let us enter Mary's feelings as each look at Jesus shows it to her on Calvary Day, and when she alone has faith in the resurrection. 7. On Saturday, let us consider the use the Virgin made of her strength to give souls to God. She instructs the Apostles, the teachers to whom she explained rationally and according to the revelation what they did not know about the life of the Word. Having borne the pains of the Passion, she could animate the martyrs to suffer for Christ. His example formed the virgins. The widows learned from her to part with their best love. Contemplating her charity, the couple felt their reciprocal tenderness increase. Text and references: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pi...
