Taken September 7, 2009 at the Alaska State Fair Charmae's first ride on the Apollo. I love the memory of this moment: She wanted to take this ride the day before. We had waited in the long line, but when we were next to get on she got scared and didn't go through with it. We all decided to go back for a second day at the fair. Again she talked me into taking her on it. So me and Charmae got to sit right in front. (Her older sister Kari sat right behind us.) This time she definitely faced her fear. Her Mom, Becky was worried about her while waiting for us with sister Jen and friend Jade. Hahaha. I was proud of her. Reminded me of the song; 'Rise Above This' by Seether.
