Israel fires retaliatory rocket into Gaza following strike
The Israeli military says it has struck a Hamas weapons site and other targets in Gaza. The airstrikes are in response to an earlier rocket attack from Gaza toward the southern coastal city of Ashkelon. The Israeli army says the projectile was intercepted by its Iron Dome missile defense system.
