Ford Escort RS1700T Gr.B Rally Car | 400HP Turbo Flutter Sound & Rev Limiter!

The Ford RS1700T is a prototype RWD car based on the Escort Mk3 model and designed by Ford Motor Company in the early 80s to compete in Group B rallying. Plagued with problems during its development, Ford changed its plans to create a car that would be able beat Audi, Lancia and Peugeot on the rally stages. That project would later become the Ford RS200. The RS1700T in this video is one of the original prototypes which was fully restored and rebuilt by English company BGMsport some years ago. Under the hood there's a turbocharged 1.8-litre 4-cylinder Cosworth engine producing about 400hp.
