Spain's Prime Minister Rajoy set to announce direct rule on Catalonia

Spain's government has secured backing from the opposition to dissolve Catalonia's parliament and hold new elections there. Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy says he will unveil specific measures on Saturday to impose direct rule on Catalonia over its independence bid. Catalan separatists have called for a new kind of protest.
