A little more context if you skipped the "pause to read" section in the video: Funny enough, I wasn’t even watching anime when I made this. I’d fallen off it for a while. Just got bored, honestly. Grew up on it, but by the time quarantine hit and everyone else was getting into it heavy, I couldn’t care less. I wanted to, but I just wasn’t feeling it. What actually pulled me back a bit was the music. Not from new shows or anything, just old songs I used to have on repeat. That little wave of nostalgia hit, and when I saw people posting their favorite OP's in lists like these, I figured I’d throw mine together too. This list didn’t start with any kind of big idea, it was just a casual little collection that kept growing. Started with like 50 songs, then 100, then 150… next thing I know, I’m at 225. I meant to drop it on January 1st, 2025, but I tried to do too much with it, got overwhelmed, life got in the way and I stopped being on my computer all together. Ironically, while it sat untouched, I found myself slowly watching anime again, rewatching some shows in this list and finally checking out others I had blindly thrown in without having even seen them. That gave me a new perspective, but I didn’t overhaul the list. When I came back, I kept most of it the same. Aside from a few swaps/additions and trimming extra info panels (like MAL scores, infographics, etc.), this is basically the same version I nearly finished in January.
