Evacuations downgraded for Gray Fire, majority of Medical Lake residents can return home

MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. -- Evacuations for a wildfire burning in and around Medical Lake have been downgraded in some areas, and around 4,000 residents can now return home. The area north of Campbell Road and onward is now under Level 1 evacuations, meaning BE READY TO LEAVE. The area was previously under Level 2 and Level 3 evacuations. This includes the following areas: Gray Road on the West Lefevre on the East Fancher on the South Everyone north of the locations above Lefevre on the West up to California South end of elementary school to Hallett Hallett North to Campbell Campbell east to east end of middle school North to Lake Street Everything north of Lake Street going east East turn into Medical Lake Four Lakes Medical Lake Four Lakes to I-90 South of I-90 east of 904 West of Andrus - north of Jenson Fire officials say firefighters are still working in the area, so anyone returning home should use caution and be mindful of crews at the scene. All other areas to the south and east of the Gray Fire are still under Level 3 evacuations, meaning LEAVE NOW.
