Welcome to I’ll Knit (& Spin!) If I want To! I asked y’all to send in some of your questions (from everything from fiber arts, to designing and on!) so I could put together a little video for y’all every Friday doing my best to answer your questions! Why in your DRK EVERYDAY SOCKS did you decide to rib/pattern the sole of the foot? I, as well as many others, have always been told to keep the sole in stockinette because it's so sensitive. Love the pattern and its cushyness. DRK Everyday Socks: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr... 2. Hi Andrea! I love watching your podcast each week and learn so much from you. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and joy. This is a really random question but I can’t help noticing you have many beautiful tattoos - Are any of them inspired by knitting? I’ve always wanted to get a tattoo related to my love of fiber arts but haven’t found the right tattoo design yet. Just love seeing how people express themselves in different ways and tattoos are one of those mediums! 3. I’ve never used Suri and am working on the Big Cozy Cardi (love it). I’m wondering how I should block when finished. Do I need to do something different because of the difference in fibers? I’m terrified that the Suri will bleed into the wool if I put the Cardi in water to soak but am also not sure how to go about steaming either or if that’s OK to do with Suri. Help? 4. Hi Andrea! I watch your videos every week and I'm a huge fan! My question is about knitting sweater sleeves. Every time I knit sleeves, I end up having to swing the body of the sweater around, since it gets twisted when knitting sleeves in the round. Either that, or let my sleeves get twisted. Is there a better way to do this? This is complicated even more when knitting colorway in sleeves. Any suggestions on how to make sleeve knitting less annoying? 5. I just finished my beautiful pink Fizz in a cream Dk ,blocked it am ready to put it on for pictures and I have clear, very clear differences in the skeins that I could not see as I knit it together! Can I soak in a tea water or something to correct this? DRK March to May KAL - Ravelry Forums: Sweaters: https://www.ravelry.com/discuss/drear... Shawls: https://www.ravelry.com/discuss/drear...
