Downed power lines cause outage in Delhi Township

DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - Many people on the west side were without power Sunday night. A tree fell down on Anderson Ferry Road near Delhi Pike, taking down power lines with it and snapping a utility pole. Duke Energy reported that more than 1,900 people were without power in Delhi Township as a result. The rain was falling heavily as Duke workers arrived on the scene to repair the fallen lines. "It happens once in a while," said Delhi resident Dave Riegler. "It used to happen a lot, used to do it all the time." "It's exciting," added Sammy Riegler. "We used to get them all of the time but not so much anymore. It gets everyone out of their rooms and to talk which is rare."
