VS. Excitebike (Famicom Disk System) - Full Soundtrack (Famicom 2A03+Namco 163 Cover)
VS. Excitebike is a game I've loved for more than half a decade. I've loved it since Nintendo rereleased it on the Wii U eShop in 2015, and I still love it to this day. Besides being a fantastic update of a beloved Nintendo classic, it had the honor of an outstanding soundtrack courtesy of one of Nintendo's greatest composers, Soyo Oka. Her work on music for the Famicom Disk System and the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo is nothing short of amazing, and this game is an absolute prime example of her immaculate skill. So, I've decided to honor this amazing soundtrack with WSG-style rearrangements done using Namco's 163 sound expansion chip for the Famicom (while still retaining the original percussion via the 2A03), and I'm very pleased with my results (btw special shoutout to the amazing @125scratch for ripping the WSG wavetables ^w^)! I hope you enjoy these arrangements too, and be sure to check out FDS VS.
