Los Osos Fatal Vehicle Vs. Pedestrian October 6, 2015

At 8:32PM CHP along with San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office and CAL FIRE with San Luis Ambulance responded to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian in the 400 block of Los Osos Valley Road, between Alexander and Doris in Los Osos. One of the reporting parties advised her brother had been hit. Sheriffs Dept arrived first and advised CPR in progress - despite life saving efforts the adult male party was declared deceased at the scene. Family members of the pedestrian were on scene and hysterical - Sheriffs Deputies tended to them while CHP investigated the scene. Bystanders reported that this family recently lost other members in a local vehicle collision several months ago. A Toyota Prius was towed from the scene by Four Corners Towing for an evidence impound. Significant damage to the front drivers side quarter panel, hood, windshield and roof were visible on the vehicle. CHP is still on scene investigating the circumstances of the collision and will release additional details as available.
