This is also why I wear protective gear, and have emergency equipment to deal with it when things go wrong. Thank you to everyone involved in helping me get out of there. If I had been wearing different gear (especially different boots) the result could have been much worse. Get quality gear, wear it, and have a plan and be prepared for when things go wrong. The moto may be "But Did You Die?" but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be prepared to help yourself. I'm doing well, I have an MRI scheduled and hope to be able to be back to riding in a few weeks. The ride will continue, though there may be a short gap in videos as I get back into the trip. There will be a follow up video to this with a detailed breakdown of my accident and subsequent rescue.
