UI Stead Family Children's Hospital Kid Captain 2011 - Will Linder

Twelve-year-old Will was born with congenital heart defects and underwent the first of several heart surgeries when he was two years old. During that surgery, he suffered a stroke and was temporarily paralyzed on his left side. In spite of multiple surgeries and complications of his disorder, including kidney problems and blood clots, Will has grown up to be a compassionate, loving young man who can teach the rest of us about life's gifts and finding humor at the low moments.
