EVENING DIALECT BULLETIN 15.01.2026 ARITRA MUKHERJEE/ KENYUM ANGO PM Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India has shown that democratic institutions and democratic processes give democracy with stability, speed and scale. Addressing the Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth at Samvidhan Sadan in New Delhi, Mr Modi said, India has turned diversity into the strength of its democracy. This is the fourth occasion when the Conference of Commonwealth Speakers and Presiding Officers is being held in India. The PM further said, in India democracy means last-mile delivery and the government is working with a spirit of public welfare for every individual without any discrimination. Mr Modi highlighted that nearly 25 crore people in India came out of poverty over the past few years. The Prime Minister said, today, UPI in India is the world's largest digital payment system. He said, India is the world's largest vaccine producer and the world's number two steel producer. Start-up fund Minister for Agriculture Gabriel D Wangsu led the Agri-startup Meet cum Startup Fund Disbursement Ceremony at CHF R-ABI, College of Horticulture and Forestry (CAU), Pasighat. He informed that under RKVY incubation system, grant-in-aid was disbursed to 24 selected startups to bolster their entrepreneurial journey in agriculture and allied sectors. A total of Rupees 2.75 crore was distributed. Minister Wangsu said it is heartening to see state’s youth driving innovation to strengthen the rural economy and the startup ecosystem of the North East. IUI Centre Kameng Healers of the Ball of Fire Division, under Gajraj Corps, inaugurated West Kameng district’s first IUI Centre (Intrauterine Insemination Centre) at Tenga, bringing modern fertility treatment and enhanced reproductive healthcare services to the district. The inauguration also included a refurbished Dental Section, strengthening specialised services. These healthcare upgrades will support civilians and service personnel by delivering improved, timely medical care across West Kameng and adjoining districts. PM national apprentice The Dept. of SDE, Govt. of AP successfully organized its first Pradhan Mantri–National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme Awareness Workshop-cum-Mobilisation Drive at Govt. ITI Roing, in collaboration with the District Skill Committee. The workshop highlighted the importance of apprenticeship & on-the-job training in enhancing youth employability. Gyati Kacho, Deputy Director, DSDE, emphasized the collective efforts of the Centre & State towards Viksit Bharat and Viksit Arunachal Pradesh through skill development. Arunachal Students to represent state on Republic day Two students from GHSS Chongkham, Namsai, Nang Sujata Jenow and Kusum Kumari Mishra, will represent Arunachal Pradesh as special guests at the 77th Republic Day Parade in New Delhi on Jan 26, 2026. Mentored by Moirangtham Surchand Singh, they earned this honor through their project on plastic waste management in the national School Innovation Marathon under Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, showcasing practical solutions for a sustainable future. GHSS Chongkham is the only school from Arunachal selected, highlighting the growing impact of youth-led innovation in the Northeast. Agro Training A training cum agro-inputs distribution program is underway by Defence Research Laboratory, DRL (DRDO) Tezpur in convergence with Arunachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (ArSRLM) from January 13 to 15 at different villages of Kurung kumey district. The training program on demonstration of modern agro-techniques in GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) for large cardamom focuses on sustainable, high-yield cultivation by addressing major gaps like disease resistance, poor post-harvest handling, and climate impact are conducted. More than 120 beneficiaries, mostly women farmers, attended the program. They were also provided with Nano urea, secateurs and special design knives for harvesting Large Cardamom. Mithun program The National Research Centre on Mithun, with Jomlo Mongku Mithun Farmer Federation, conducted a farmers’ interaction program at Riew village, Siang, where over 80 farmers learned scientific Mithun production practices, including breeding, health management, and semi-intensive farming techniques. NCC Training concludes Arunachal Pradesh is all set to receive 152 trained NCC cadet volunteers, including 80 girl cadets, as first responders to disaster management eventualities, with the successful conclusion of the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-157) cum Yuva Aapda Mitra (YAM) programme at Dera Natung Government College (DNGC), Itanagar.
