Square 8 - Scars Scroll down for time stamps This video shows a right-handed crocheter how to crochet Square 8 - Scars of the Wrapped In Jamie CAL in US crochet terms. It explains where to place the stitches and how to work them and contains instructions for stitch marker placements. The pattern is suitable for a confident and adventurous beginner to intermediate or advanced crocheter. You should be familiar with the Magic Circle (MC), slip stitch (ss), single crochet (sc), treble crochet (tr) and double treble crochet (dtr), working in front loops only (FLO) and back loops only (BLO) as well as front post stitches (fp) and working into 3rd loops. All the basic stitches, abbreviations and instructions on how to read the special stitches are explained in the free Outlanding Stitch Compendium which you can download from the Wrapped In Jamie category in the shop at https://blacksheepcrochet.com/shop/ or view online at https://blacksheepcrochet.com/outland... In the video, all special stitches are shown with explanations of how to work and exactly where to place them at a slow pace so that you can crochet along. (Plus, there is always the option to stop, rewind and repeat) Terminology used: Germanised British English US CROCHET TERMS Petranese (I use US crochet terminology, British English grammar and expressions and the accent you will undoubtedly notice is German. Stitch language - 'Petranese' has been developed specifically for these kind of overlay crochet squares) The video is also embedded in the free pattern page at Black Sheep Crochet https://blacksheepcrochet.com/wrapped... with the written instructions and photos and available in a left-handed version: Please subscribe to this channel to get immediately and automatically notified when new patterns and tutorials are uploaded. The Background Story to this square can be found here: https://blacksheepcrochet.com/wrapped... List of all Season 1 squares:: https://blacksheepcrochet.com/wrapped... This list will be constantly updated for the duration of this CAL Please note: After a change in the team of testers and editors just before the release of Square 3, I have been encouraged by the new team to simplify "Petranese" - the Black Sheep Crochet way of describing overlay stitch placement. I have also been made aware of a mistake in the way I have been counting rounds, which has been corrected with an updated "Petranese" from Square 7 onwards. I am currently working on updating patterns 1-6 including the videos to the "New Petranese". The way the stitches are made is EXACTLY THE SAME as it is in the "Old" versions, just the instruction in the patterns will LOOK different. You can find detailed explanations and '"Petranese" explained' basics tutorials in the constantly growing library here: https://blacksheepcrochet.com/petrane...
