3 Easy Christmas Candy Recipes and a Frosting Board ‪@ourforeverfarm‬

Quick and Easy Christmas Candies and a Frosting board. I sure do apologize for this being so late to be uploaded but it was beyond my control. Hopefully you can add to your list of things to do for Christmas next year. But honestly if you change the theme you can make these anytime of year!! CHOCOLATE-COVERED RITZ & PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES Begin making the “sandwiches” by spreading a small dab of peanut butter atop the flat side of a Ritz cracker, and then attaching the flat side of another cracker on top. Repeat with the remainder of the crackers and peanut butter. Then melt your vanilla almond bark (or white chocolate chips) in the microwave or a double boiler. If the chocolate is too thick, feel free to add in a few teaspoons of shortening to thin it out. Then carefully drop each “sandwich” in the chocolate and submerge so that it’s fully-coated. Remove with a fork and set on wax paper, parchment paper, aluminum foil, or a Silpat to dry. Feel free to decorate with sprinkles or drizzle with extra chocolate for decor! (I used clear sugar sprinkles above.) ******************************** Chocolate Dipped Pretzels Pretzel Small pretzel twists Melting chocolate - milk chocolate, dark chocolate or white chocolate. Milk chocolate chips can also be used. I used almond bark. Sprinkles - pick your favorites. A variety is always fun Melt chocolate in the microwave Dip pretzels into chocolate. Use a spoon to help cover the pretzel. Remove excess chocolate with spoon or fork. Sprinkle on colored sprinkles and place on a baking sheet or lime with parchment paper. Allow to harden before removing. ******************************* Cherry Bark 1 (10-ounce) jar maraschino cherry, drained, chopped 1 (24-ounce) package vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), coarsely chopped 1 cup chopped blanched almonds 1/2 teaspoon almond extract Directions: 1. Line 2 large cookie sheets with waxed paper. Spread chopped cherries on several layers of paper towels to drain completely.2. Melt candy coating in heavy large saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly. Or use microwave stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Stir in cherries. Spread mixture thinly on waxed paper-lined cookie sheets. Let stand until set, about 30 minutes.3. Break candy into pieces. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator or cool, dry place. ************************ Frosting Board This was so much fun. I did a Christmas frosting board but you could do any season or celebration. You can watch as I did my frosting thick and in the shape of a Christmas tree. If I can do it anyone can. Surround it with goodies to be dipped in the frosting. I had so much fun. I added homemade and bought goodies to my board. The sky is the limit. It took about 30 minutes total to do this whole board. Again. I had way too much fun. Smile. Hope you enjoy. Merry Christmas, Val & Sweet Hunter.
